Apps Court Farm is an area of
82 acres of land on the banks of the River Thames between
Hampton Court and Walton on Thames. The land is mostly open
fields of flat, even grass-land with wooded areas that act
as wind breaks, and a lake and pond stocked with fish.
The
farm is used as a general purpose facility for outdoor leisure
activities, outdoor and marquee events, for camping and caravans,
for park & ride (and park & ferry!) ... in
fact for potentially any activity that can make use of the
huge amount of prime space, without harming the environment.
To make the land accessible for outdoor events involving large
numbers of cars and people, there are access roads, power
and water supplies to the fields, toilet / shower blocks and
waste facilities.
The farm also has a developed area where small businesses
operate from.
The farm's location and its accessibility by road make it
an ideal base for parking on the way to events in the area,
particularly those up and down the river. It is has become
a very popular Park & Ride
facility recommended by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS)
for the Hampton
Court Palace Flower Show every year.
Many Exhibitors and visitors use it annually as part of the
fun. They park and camp on the farm and use the
river ferry to ferry them to and from the show.
We intend to broaden the range of activities, events and businesses
at Apps Court Farm to make full use of this great facility.
We have a number of ideas in the pipeline.
